As Summer draws to a close and we say hello Autumn, this does not mean that we have to say goodbye to gin. Gin makes the perfect year round spirit and we’d like to take the time to introduce you to the ‘New Balmenach Sour’ a twist on the ‘New York Sour’ created by our brand ambassador Sian.  The classic mix of Caorunn, lemon and apple is light and fresh. Combine this with vanilla and red wine and you are left with a delicious and light mix with added depth of colour and character that perfectly represents Autumn leaves.

Recipe:
1. 50ml Caorunn
2. 25ml Lemon juice
3. 10ml Vanilla syrup
4. 20ml Apple juice
5. 1 dash Angostura bitters
6. Egg White
7. 25ml red wine

Method:
1. Shake all of the first 6 ingredients together, strain into a coupette style glass

2. Float red wine over the top of the drink so that it gives you a line of pinky/red colour under your egg white.
