There’s something quite special about spending time in nature, especially in Scotland.

Whether you’re climbing a Munro at sunrise as the world begins to wake-up, or wandering along the beach watching the sun set on another day, nature has a way of showing off its beauty day-in-day-out for all to enjoy. One of my favourite things to do to calm my mind and reset after a full-on week is to go for a walk.

Wandering and Wildlife: A moment to pause

Walking  is one of the best forms of exercise and I find it is a great way for me to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of city life and reconnect with the countryside and all its wonders. While a solo walk gives me time to reflect on the busy week, there’s nothing more I love than spending time with friends and family, rejuvenating our souls together while catching up on our lives.
Life pulls us all in different directions, but I always find we are completely present during our walks, taking in the scenes and observing local wildlife.
And when it comes to spotting wildlife, we are spoiled here in Scotland.

Elevating The Everyday With The Refreshing Taste of Caorunn

ingredients, some of which are hand-picked locally around the distillery itself, give Caorunn that delicious finish that not only celebrates, but champions the Scottish Highlands.

It’s a gin you want to share and enjoy with your loved ones, one you will go back to no matter the occasion. Whether it’s a big celebration or a moment you want to share with just a select special few, Caorunn can and will make those moments absolutely delicious and undoubtably better!

By using local botanicals such as rowan berries, heather, coul blush apples, dandelion and bog myrtle, as well as six traditional gin-making botanicals, the distillery utilises Scotland’s larder to highlight these ingredients in ways that can be enjoyed across the globe.

The brand is the only one in the world to use a working copper berry chamber in its production process making it incredibly unique and individual. The use of such equipment allows the team to create the unique flavour that Caorunn is known for.

It is because of this care and passion that Caorunn is one of my go-to favouirte Scottish gins.

I always pick up a bottle from my local drinks store to restock my family’s cosy cottage we holiday in near Braemar, ensuring there’s always a crisp gin and tonic available for me to make when we return from a long day hiking in the Scottish hills.

And when I go out for drinks with my girlfriends, rest assured I’m looking for that signature serve of a slice of Pink Lady apple. Because who doesn’t love a wee gin and tonic that comes with an edible snack?

Caorunn gin is made to be shared, so make sure you’re sharing your Caorunn moments this summer.
