What is St Andrew’s Day?
Every year November 30th marks St Andrews Day, a celebration of the patron saint of Scotland. In true Scottish style there are celebrations and a showcase of the very best of Scottish Culture including traditional dancing, drinks, food and music and in 2006 the day was made a bank holiday.
What does St Andrew’s Day have to do with Caorunn Gin?
Scotland’s National Day is close to our hearts here at Caorunn quite simply because our gin is crafted in the heart of the Cairngorms in the Scottish Highlands.
What’s more celebrating, like most Scots, is what we do well so if there’s one day that we’ll shout a little louder and raise our gin and tonics’ a little higher it’s in celebration of our countries national patron saint, St Andrew!

• St. Andrew was known to have great social skills and if he was around today he may be better known as the Patron Saint of Communicating!
• A local superstition uses the cross of Saint Andrew as a hex sign on the fireplaces in northern England and Scotland to prevent witches from flying down the chimney and entering the house to do mischief.
St Andrew’s Day Cocktail

A classic Scottish flavour combination of apple and raspberry, comes together to bring you this delicious cocktail to be enjoyed after your celebratory dinner.
15ml Honey syrup
15ml Freshly squeezed lemon juice
5 Fresh raspberries
20ml Pasteurised egg white
Shake all ingredients together, without the soda, pour into a hi-ball glass and then top with soda.
Toasted honey oats/cinnamon sugar dusting
