Every cocktail connoisseur worth their salt knows that the illustrious Margarita is traditionally made with tequila.

However, when our Master Distiller Simon Buley created Blood Orange, that perfect combination of botanicals and zest inspired us to create this unconventional yet delicious take on the Margarita.

Ingredients

  • 40ml Caorunn Blood Orange
  • 10ml Cointreau or Triple Sec
  • 10ml Agave Syrup
  • 25ml Fresh Lime Juice

Method

  1. Place all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake well.
  2. Double strain into a chilled glass.
  3. Garnish with an Orange peel twist.

Genius Tip

Orange Peel Twist

To create the perfect orange peel twist, simply slice a piece of peel, ensuring there's not too much pith (the white part on the inside of the peel). Squeeze & twist the peel over the drink to release the orangey oils and spruce up your Caorunnita.
