Caorunn Gin Big Apple Cocktail Contest

Caorunn Small Batch Scottish Gin recently ran the ‘Big Apple Cocktail ‘contest inviting all New York City bartenders and mixologists to create a new Caorunn inspired cocktail. The winner will be announced very soon.
The contest involved creating an innovative cocktail that was uniquely “New York” in flavor and character, bringing the Coul Blush Apple botanical to life complementing the other Celtic botanicals of Caorunn Gin: Heather, Bog Myrtle, Dandelion and Rowan Berry.
Caorunn Scottish Gin set up the contest to mark their launch in the New York cocktail scene. Its clean, dry and crisp aromatic taste is the perfect base for the Big Apple Cocktail.
The winning drink will be chosen by a judging panel, headed by Gin Master Simon Buley at the Caorunn launch event later this April and the creator will also win a trip to Tales of the Cocktail 2011 in New Orleans where the cocktail will be featured as Caorunn’s Big Apple Cocktail of the Year.
