There’s a subtle hint towards Celtic art and Celtic knots. The five Celtic botanicals are represented including the fabled Rowan Berry, which forms the very soul of our Scottish Gin. Caorunn, pronounced ‘ka –roon’, is the Gaelic word for Rowan Berry that has inspired Celtic medicines and recipes for generations.
The Caorunn Asterisk is a symbol for five, representing the five Celtic botanicals whilst echoing the shape of the bottle.
Steidhitche the Gaelic word for established, recalls the Scottish heritage of Caorunn. Caorunn is handcrafted by our Gin Master using pure grain spirit, Scottish Water infused with eleven hand-picked botanicals in our unique Copper Berry Chamber at a working malt whisky distillery at Balmenach in the Speyside region of the Scottish Highlands.
The wheel of five Celtic botanicals and the Caorunn Asterisk are embossed in the natural wood material. The use of time-honoured Celtic botanicals, traditional gin plant and handcrafting process reflects our desire to revive traditional influences.
